Focussing on marine climate change issues, Emily set new work areas and concepts; developing a new work program at WWF which established WWF as a sector leader in this discipline.

 

Co-authored and commissioned a paper on the Impact of the Oceans on Climate Change, now published in AMB.

Commissioning editor of studies into the impacts of climate change on the NE Atlantic, Arctic and cod,

Steering group member of the Marine Climate Impacts Partnership and its reports

Ensuring that licensing (SEAs) for oil and gas in UK seas includes climate change considerations.

Ensuring that Carbon Capture and Storage under the sea bed in the North East Atlantic leads to net reductions in CO2.

Raising awareness and understanding in the UK about the melting of the Polar regions and the relevance for the UK.

Profiling marine species at threat from climate change, including penguins, whales and corals.

Deepening the understanding of climate science as it catches up with nature - WWF report, Faster, stronger, sooner.

Communicating Marine Climate Change issues at conferences, in the media, IMAX and other fora.
