Emily is working at the University of Surrey for the Food Climate Research Network. Here, she works on understanding and reducing the climate impacts of the food sector, recognising wider issues such as food security and animal welfare. Emily is enhancing the fisheries research library of FCRN and submitted a recent article to the Westminster Forum on Fisheries. The FCRN was founded by Tara Garnett, an international expert in this field, and the Lead Investigator is Professor Tim Jackson at the University’s Centre for Environmental Strategy.
While working at the University, Emily also recently gave a lecture and workshop on Advocacy for the Corporate Environmental Responsibility MSc course at CES. In 2010, she ran a one day marine workshop for the London Youth International Science Forum. You can see a short film here which includes images of Emily’s workshop. In 2011, the theme of the whole week’s forum will be ‘The Science of the Seas’. |
